A Blended Learning Service Provider

Targeted Instruction facilitates the blending of computer-based instructional assessments with face-to-face instruction.  Targeted Instruction is the first and sole provider of blended learning services for Hawai`i’s schools, districts and complex areas.  By targeting students’ individual needs, this blended learning experience allows for a truly individualized educational experience for each student and such targeted assistance has been shown to rapidly boost student achievement.  Targeted Instruction emerged as an initiative designed to directly support Hawai`i schools’ ongoing transition to 21st century education, including directly supporting the implementation of many facets of the state’s Race to the Top (RttT) innovations.  It is an extension of the Project TIED i3 grant proposal submitted in 2010 (see “Partners” page), which proposed an extended school day and year in conjunction with daily blended learning instruction for over 15,000 students.  Targeted Instruction is very proud to see Hawai`i adopting an extended school day and year as part of the state’s winning Race to the Top application.
